Pamela A. McKay
Pamela McKay has over twenty years of experience representing and advising clients concerning a wide range of insurance coverage issues, including representing insurers in litigation and at settlement conferences, and drafting insurance policy language for insurers.
In addition to a successful insurance coverage practice, Ms. McKay routinely successfully represents clients regarding employment claims and suits, including Title VII and the American’s with Disabilities Act.
Ms. McKay’s litigation practice also includes representing clients in personal injury and construction defect matters. She counsels clients to optimize the client’s position and avoid litigation. She also provides representation to clients who have not established an estate plan to avoid probate and require diligent representation to wind down the affairs of a decedent to effectuate the decedent’s wishes.
Her practice involves federal and state litigation in Arizona, California, and Nevada. Ms. McKay has tried numerous federal and state jury and bench trials to verdict. She has argued before the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and the California Court of Appeal on numerous occasions. She has resolved appeals without oral argument before the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, the Nevada Supreme Court and the California Court of Appeal.
Ms. McKay received her B.A. (English) from Walla Walla University, and her J.D., from Thomas Jefferson School of Law. In law school, Ms. McKay obtained numerous jurisprudence awards, and was a Law Review literary editor and case note author before graduating cum laude in December, 1993.
